After an RfP released five years ago had atrophied somewhat for want of money, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has requested to fast track an urgent requirement for 14 shore-based twin-engine helicopters for search-and-rescue and surveillance missions. The H225M from Airbus Helicopters had been selected for this requirement, but no contract has yet been signed.
